EDMONTON — Tickets for the 98th Grey Cup game on November 28, 2010 in Edmonton are sold-out just one week after tickets went on sale to the public June 1, 2010.

Edmonton has set a record for the fastest sellout of Grey Cup tickets and the earliest sellout at 173 days or 5 ½ months from the game.

Rick LeLacheur, Co-Chair of the 2010 Grey Cup Festival Committee announced, “The 2010 Grey Cup is sold-out!   The response by Edmonton Eskimo season ticket holders and CFL fans across Canada and the United States has been fantastic.   We would like to thank our season ticket holders and CFL fans who bought tickets to the game on November 28th.  We are very pleased that we will have a packed stadium on November 28th.”

“A sold-out stadium and a Hot to Huddle Festival in downtown Edmonton will be an excellent opportunity for Edmonton and the Capital Region to showcase itself to Canada and the United States.  While the tickets to the Grey Cup Game itself are sold-out,  the Festival Committee will focus their energies on putting together lots of activities that Edmontonians, Albertans and visitors to our region can enjoy during the days leading up to the game.” Said Doug Goss, Co -Chair of the 2010 Grey Cup Festival Committee

Duane Vienneau, Executive Director of the 2010 Grey Cup Festival Committee said, “We are putting together a tailgate party at Commonwealth stadium where you can party before the game and if you don’t have game tickets you can watch the game on big screens!  The sell-out allows us to focus on the tailgate party and many other activities that we are planning for the Hot to Huddle Festival November 25 – 28, 2010.”
